>>48922386>Without bringing up glitches or "MUH PLATINUM FEATURES"...>Don't bring up the fact that the games aren't better than the definitive version that came out over a decade agoI'm not going to be dishonest, I love the underground and I acknowledge that there is a lot of platinum content in the remakes, what sucks is that the things that DIDN'T make it from platinum made the game a lot less enjoyable for me. Pokemon distribution in the overworld still sucks as well as most Gen 4 mons STILL being locked to post game through their evolution items being unavailable or not appearing in the underground until postgame. That's not to mention the godawful trainer distribution, every other trainer having a Steelix and the lack of fire types made every fight painfully boring to go through. People joke about player teams having the same six mons but half the trainer teams in this game are exactly the same.
The Battle Frontier not coming back will never be okay in my opinion and honestly I don't see why people are okay or even glad it's not present. If you really disliked it you never had to play it, you could always just stick to the battle tower. Having unique spins on battles added a lot of replayability to the game and made the post-game more than just "go online."
Distortion World, the visual updates like Amity Square and Floaroma town as well as the expanded story. It sucks that they aren't in but those are less impactful on the actual gameplay so while I'm not happy to see those things not returning I'm less upset about that. What does upset me is that they included SOME Platinum content but not all, which makes it feel half assed and kind of cheap overall and it's really upsetting that that was the way they decided to approach it.
I have more issues with the games than just missing Platinum content but I'm tired of people saying that "It's just a DP remake" or "There totally is Plat content bro be happy."
