>>48924409No. See, Xenoblade 2 gives you options, and I've constantly brought up the bonus EXP option when talking about Sword and Shield's forced EXP share.
https://archive.nyafuu.org/vp/search/text/Xenoblade%20EXP/Furthermore, the amount of mandatory shit to make BDSP easier is way beyond just EXP share (the forced affection bonuses are ridiculous). At the end of the day, it's about good game balance, and allowing the player to balance it better if they feel the game doesn't do that. Hell, Xenoblade Definitive Edition allows you to level down whenever you want, which I think was developed in Xenoblade 2 a little too soon for it to be properly implemented in the main game. Funnily enough, that was also true of Spikes in the first Xenoblade, but DE fixes both of these issues. Gee, it's almost like they're thinking about game balance when developing a video game.
>>48924449Those people are retards, although I will say the EXP candies in that game are in a pretty retarded place that doesn't really communicate the ideal use for them (which I don't think Game Freak knows either). Hell, the modern EXP share isn't even bad on it's own, as an option. It can be both useful for and negatively impact Pokemon training. How the fuck do you even EV train in BDSP? Does it hand out vitamins even more than SS did?
