Raw is interesting. Raw is useful because it hasn't been graded. When a good portion of a card has been graded, and 10s are beyond the price of most collectors, the only way to have a chance at getting one is to grade it yourself. This causes the price of raw cards to increase as people scour the internet for the remaining "mint" raw cards in the hopes that they can get a big return on buying them to have them return for a 10.
Raw card (and sealed) prices are tied to the price of their PSA10 counterpart.
