groudon and regigigas should naturally have some kind of connection based on how they both created the continents, same with kyogre, lugia and manaphy
zygarde should be showing up literally anytime the world is threatened, you know, like in the gen where they introduced the concept of the zygarde cube
there could be an actual fleshing out of aliens as far as deoxys/the ultra beasts/eternatus are concerned, but of course that's not the case
type null obviously is based on arceus, but why it was designed that way is never actually explained or expanded upon
celebi and dialga have at best interacted in fucking PMD, and celebi plus the legendary dogs somehow got roped into a gen 5 movie of all things with a normal pokemon as the mascot
and of course now they're designing mythicals like marshadow, zeraora, zarude, etc. that have no connection to anything probably for the exact purpose of not caring how or where they should fit into the overall world
meanwhile the only major crossgen legend interaction i think has been genesect and mewtwo in that one shitty movie. just a mess all around
