I only like gen1-2 because it was improving from one game to the next.
Gen3 felt like a semi-reboot. Not an awful one, but like a fresh start in a way. But Gen4? Gen4 is 99% pandering gen1-2, you know, the thing people seems to hate nowadays. The same people that will call DP their favorite game. DP has no soul, it's just gen1 but again. It's the first gen where I felt like the series was going nowhere. The moment I understood that gen3 semi reboot was for nothing, which made me dislike gen3 even more than I already did.
And then they did it again. Gen5 was supposed to be a reboot.A real one this time, not a soft like gen3. And again, XY went back to gen1 pandering. It's insane.
