I like both the original and HGSS soundtracks but there definitely was different interpretations on how the song should been remade

This one is too gentle and dainty.

The original has more power, more jubilance, while still having a gentleness (perfect for a calm cruise on the water). It feels liberated and triumphant: you have just burst free from the land! Easily one of my favourites of all pokemon music.

It gives me the same sort of feeling when someone is performing the national anthem at an event and goes way overboard with flourishes, tempo changes, etc. Like dude just play the damn song the way it was written.

Hmm. I think this theme fared a little better actually. I still prefer the original, but it comes through okay I'd say.
