Let me clarify, I didn't purchase multiple copies of SwSh to resell them for thousands in the future. I actively use all copies of my games. But IF I needed to resell them out of desperation in say 10 years I will for sure be able to make money off of them. Yes obviously you won't get as much as you would selling a pristine copy of Emerald, but you will never lose money on Pokemon (and first party Nintendo games in general).

Fuck I had to pay $100 for a copy of White 2 a few months ago because I skipped it.

I only bought a Nintendo 3ds to play oras, ended up playing xy and gen vii. Worth it.

I stopped after USUM, which was probably way too long to stop. But that's where I got all my competitive 'Mons sitting, waiting until the day they all can be in the same game again. By that time, the Bank servers will probably shut down so they're most likely going to stay in Ultra Sun until the end of time and I'll just have to start fresh if these games ever become worth buying again. Predictions for what year that'll be? I'm going to say 2032
