It will enter a room with the code and initiate a trade call
All the other person has to do is interact with it and finish the trade
After that the bot leaves by itself and repeats finding another room under the same code

Manaphy isn't perfect, but no pokemon is. The issue is that it leads to overcentralizing the meta because now you're forced to run a manaphy counter, a counter for the manaphy counter, and a counter for that pokemon.

It leads to a toxic battling environment, which is why it's going to be banned at smogon in a few days. Because they actually understand how a meta operates.

Is the idea of an unofficial banlist based on BST a good idea or stupid idea? Legends/no legends is one of the more common restrictions I’ve seen discussed, but that doesn’t make sense to me when pseudos exist with BSTs of 600

Not really, Sceptile is more of a soft check. If Manaphy already has a Tail Glow up, then you'll have to sack a Pokemon just to switch Sceptile in cleanly, because it can't switch into +3 anything from Manaphy. If you switch in on the Tail Glow, then Sceptile actually still loses unless you're running special Sceptile with Leaf Storm, because Manaphy lives a +0 Leaf Blade from Sceptile, and KO's with Ice Beam in return.

Also, 99% people playing in a tier where Manaphy is allowed won't even be using Sceptile.

NTA, but Manaphy (while technically not an Uber yet) will be classified ad Uber soon on Smogon. If you don't care about smogon rules, I can't fault you. I personally go by Smogon rules because I'm so used to showdown. So if I get wrecked by a manaphy, I'm not really holding it against myself.

Again that has to do with poor team building, you're not going to win every game but if you know your team has a glaring weakness to one mon in the tier and you don't prepare for it that's on you. It would be better if players here announced rules like "no Ubers" legends etc before a match.

How are you not seeing a problem with overcentralizing the meta? From what I gather, you're actually a good player, so its confusing. Maybe it's because you play doubles where the meta is so weird even a shitmon like incineroar is considered good.

If someone is coming at me with a full team of legends they are not sweeping me also that’s on a different scale than bringing a Manaphy, which compared to other ubers is not on par with them. Manaphy has base 100 in each stat. While some Ubers have 130 attack and 100 something speed. Big difference.

most Nasty Plot and Swords Dance sweepers can't take a hit to the face to boost, Manaphy can and 100 Sp Atk base with Tail Glow up is worth more than 130 base when you fainted trying to boost (or fainted on the second hit because the opponent had a priority move)

That the point. Manaphy is not on par with those legends. With my one battle in singles using Manaphy it knocked out two Pokémon with tailglow (Tyranitar and Skarm) if it’s that much of an issue on singles I won’t bring it. But in the case of doubles I don’t think it’s an issue at all.

You literally have no clue what you're talking about. Tail Glow + 3 attacks OHKO's almost everything in OU. With 100 Base Speed and 100/100/100 defenses, it can set up and sweep stupid easy. It's also has support sets for full Rain teams, and much more. After a Tail Glow, you're fucked because not much besides blissey, vaporeon, and ludicolo can take these hits. And even then, there not much they can do to retaliate. You're probably comparing it to Kyogre, which I'd THE definitive Uber water type. But trust me, manaphy is no slouch. There's a reason he was banned in both gen 4 and gen 5 (the generation of massive power creep)

You are seriously underestimating Manaphy's defensive capabilities. 100/100/100 defenses are actually very good. Then tack on the fact that water is a very good defensive typing. It WILL tank a hit or two pretty easily. Then after a Tail Glow, it's basically good game since 100 speed isn't as shitty in Gen 4 as you're making it out to be.

Remember, gen 4 is the generation BEFORE power creep.

That's because you don't know how to use it. Rain dance/hydration/rest/tail glow/ surf manaphy will wreck entire teams as long as the opponent isn't directly expecting it. In which case, you run into the issue of overcentralizing the meta...which is exactly my point in singles.

Wanna know how I know you guys aren't as good at competitive battling as you think you are? Lets take special Sceptile for example. Congrats. You run special Sceptile, a Pokemon that's still a check at best to Manaphy. But what happens when you get play teams that don't use Manaphy? You're already at a disadvantage because you're playing 5v6, and probably even moreso because you've had to adjust your team to facilitate Sceptile because Sceptile is awful in OU beyond the fact that it's special variant checks Manaphy. So you've neutered your team just to run Sceptile on it, just because it's special variant checks Manaphy. It's not even a counter. It's a check. Manaphy's problem in BDSP OU is that the rest of the tier doesn't deal with it very well. Hell. Lets look at these.

>Garchomp
Can't switch in, ever. Only banded, adamant outrage one hits Manaphy, and Manaphy outspeeds if chomp goes Adamant. Needs to be already at +2

>Weavile
Can't switch in unless sashed

>Sceptile
Already covered it

>Ambipom
Can't switch in; needs Fake Out to beat it 1v1

>Azelf
Definitely can't switch in

>Raikou
Finally, the first Pokemon that can actually switch into unboosted Manaphy and kill it. Too bad singles is 6v6, and Raikou is susceptible to a LOT of Pokemon.

>Lati Twins
The same as special Sceptile, except worse, because Soul Dew Draco doesn't kill Manaphy. They need specs/modest, and then you're susceptible to anything your opponent wants to

How. Doubles allows for more strategic play and allows for better usage like Pachirisu, who actually played a major role as a Redirector/Nuzzle. The only people who really don’t like doubles are pepole who play OU on a daily basis. It’s a harder format to play but once you get used to it it’s more fun than doubles.

I started bringing legends after a person who I went against casually had Heatran and Suicune on their team, So I added Manaphy and Azelf to my team. If I’m trying to win I’m going to bring the best Pokémon I can without going overboard. I take battles seriously I play causally here but I’m not going to bring some shitmon to a match and expect to win.

Also I wasn't the 1st person to bring legends to a match. Exluding the shitters who bring mewtwo, Kyorge etc against me in a match (and that I still end up beating) many people brought legends in swsh battles here.
