I kneel to gen 1. I'm so tired of pretending their designs aren't vastly superior, it's something I've been struggling with for years. All this time I've been attacking it and defending the new mons as a coping mechanism because to acknowledge the reality that something I'm deeply invested into was getting worse was simply unfathomable. Now that gen 8 has crushed all the excitement and hope I had for the franchise and I can see it for what it actually is I've reached the breaking point where my passion for pokémon as an ongoing universe has completely faded so it's a lot easier to look at things from an objective standpoint.

From this day forward you can call me a genwunner because it's only gonna be Red and Blue(Red and Green when my japanese is good enough) for me. Not only that, I finally have room to get invested into other non-pokémon videogames and furthers my horizons.
