>>48943364I just started playing Volt White and I think it's superior. I've been playing Blaze Black 2 for years and had never touched BW for over a decade. I was missing out.
The player characters are better to look at. Nate's hair sticking out of his hat is so fucking stupid and so are Rosa's hair buns. This will probably be a controversial opinion.
In BW you are moving from comfy small town to big cities. It creates a feeling of progression, and Drawbridge>Ferry. This is how every other Pokemon game works. In BW2 you are moving from city to Floccesy Ranch to city to another big city, to another big city. There's not much worth doing until you get to the Desert Resort. Other than catching and battling generic trainers of course. There's only one Team Plasma guy and he immediately gives up the Pokemon without a fight. BW involves you in the plot and introduces important characters by the first small town you visit. BW2 feels like you are just going around for the hell of it early on. Now some may prefer this but I liked the slow buildup and rural elements before getting to Castelia and Nimbasa. Nacrene City and Pinwheel Forest were cool as well. So much shit you have to wait until endgame to see in the sequels.
Then there's the soundtrack. BW2 raped it. Wild battle theme, rival theme, gym leader battle, team plasma theme, the sequels ruined it.
