I figured I’d beat the old punching bag and try to discuss stealth rock. I think it’s a shitty move that pretty much removes a LOT of bug and flying type mons while also negating sashes comepletely from play. Anytime I want to play competitively, I’m obligated to have a Pokémon that can spin them away but not before taking the damage from them. The fact they apply resistance and weakness makes it annoying too. At least toxic and normal spikes are grounded and there’s ways around it with flying or levitate ability. Pretty much there’s NO avoiding them. I’ll admit I’m a shitty user who abuses them as well, but doesn’t it pretty much make stealth rock an obligation rather than an actual strategy? Also it ruins my boy Charizard. That double weakness to rock type.
