Would you agree that in general Gen 7 designs (with the exception of maybe the starters, Tapus and UBs) aged well? Even better than Gen 6 designs?

Gen 7 starters are great. Even that stupid furrybait Incineroar looks acceptable to me now. Though I still can't get over UBs and the general more cartoony drawing style.

I included those exceptions because I know when bringing up Gen 7 the starters were hated at the time (Incineroar and Decidueye are regarded better today but still not Primarina) and the UB designs are always going to be divisive I reckon.

I think it's the regular mons that were originally considered either bad or just unimpressive that now are well regarded by almost everyone

The Ultra Beasts are some of my favorites. I don't have much problem with the Tapus, either. The only design I can think of that I actively dislike off the top of my head is the Mudbray line (and that could just be my bias against ground types talking).

Gen 7 in general aged pretty well. It improved on a lot of ideas that older games tried, and looks pretty good compared to other Pokemon games on the console (when it isn't lagging in battles)

I still think Gen 6 and Gen 7 look like pixelated shit on the 3DS, but emulated Gen 7 can definitely look pretty clean
