I did try that but it doesn't work. Thr Dpad doesn't snap you into a grid, it just takes even steps. So if you aren't perfectly in line already, the dpad will throw you over the edge too

The map marker and guidebooks are probably the only instances. I was 100% expecting them to guide players through mt coronet but they kept everything the same. No barry teleporting me to the next city after I finish a gym, no dawn or lucas blocking me from going to pastoria instead of veilstone.

I made a thread about a week ago about this ledge. I havent tried it since, but the D pad definitely wouldnt realign to the grid, and would make your character walk a full 'tile' anyway. Hell even cramming myself in the top right corner and using the D pad didnt work. There must have been some update rectifying it. Anyone getting on peoples dicks about it are only going for low hanging fruit
