>>48949653>How? By cutting gyms and reskinning them at the last minute to the point where they couldn't create any unique assets for them?Yes. Gyms had gotten incredibly stale by the point of Kalos. They objectively peaked in Unova and anything after that would be a downgrade, and true to it, the Kalos gyms were much worse. Trials and totems were one of the absolute best ideas in nu-pokemon because they fill the role of the RPG boss but actually incorporates the lore and culture of the region and also give spotlight to the Pokémon instead of the characters.
>It doesn't even feel like a Pokemon game. Feels more like it then anything in XY that's for sure
>is a visual mess with clashing artstyles and scale that made the current pokemon size problem more apparent, and has even less modes of actual gameplay to compensate.Funny you say that because it was XY that had the shitty over world chibis clashing with the jarring full scale trainer models in the battle screen. At least it's scaled better in SM.
>Not to mention they didn't even bother to bring back something as simple as the National Dex-- You cans till get all the Pokémon in the game which was always the point of the natdex anyways. And to make up for that, they gave many Pokémon brand new dex entries and even gave new dex entries to alternate formes of Pokémon that previously wouldn't get it
>and that's still ignoring the other trends that Gen 7 pioneered like making obligatory nuke gimmicks exclusive for the current flavor-of-the-month region and shoehorning the K word in where it doesn't belong.Okay now I know you're just shitposting. It was Kalos that introduced Mega evolution which was the blueprint for every other subsequent gimmick and we've already had the Kanto pandering argument so many times at this point that it's redundant
