It's no different to last year's Kanto tour anon - an event ran during Pokéon day for people to fill their Johto 'Dex, like last year allowed people to fill their Kanto 'dex, if they still needed regional exclusives.

I highly doubt that they'll release a Let's Go Johto in Gen 8 (it'll most likely be in 2026, near the end of Gen 9), but I do hope the Legendary Beasts get their fair share of pandering in PLA. The Birds received Galarian forms and the Regis received two new forms in the SwSh DLC, but the Legendary Beasts have been ignored and they're my favorite sublegendary trio.

The reason I think it'll be around 2025 or 2026 is because it usually takes 4-6 years or so for another remake to come out.

2026 will either be 2nd year oif Gen X or the launch of Gen X itself. And given Game Freak have whos on speed-dial now, I wouldn't put it past them contracting the whos to fill a year while Game Freak aim for Gen X in the 30th anniversary.
