This reminds me of an article I read long time ago.
I lost it, but basically it was an interview between a movie journalist and a director. The thing is in one of his movies, there's a scene where the MCs are having the definitive showdown, and yet the main lead ALWAYS was holding a rock, and the camera was focused on it.
When the journalist asked what did that meant, he said "it's just a rock. I put it there because I could".
Turns out, he put the rock on purpose: many of his films got analized front to back, searching for a secret meaning, so this director put this rock just to fuck with them. Many of his followers went into denial, and they are still trying to understand why did he put the rock.

to add to this the only "weird" thing is that there's no other trucks in the rest of the game but I think that's an aesthetic choice instead of a purposeful one, in Japan and I'm sure a lot of places it's very normal to drive a car onto a ferry or a truck filled with stuff onto a boat etc
