>>48955669It's less about the game being easy and more about easy it feels. Every Pokemon game is easy, but only some feel easy. Heck, even feeling easy can be done well, most Kirby games feel easy and yet are still fun to play. But even then it can get too easy sometimes, Epic Yarn is a little too easy for some Kirby fans, even if there's self imposed challenges you can do and a port that adds something apparently I don't know. To pick a less easy game Zelda dungeon design has been refined to the point where it's about making the player feel the eureka moment even if the game basically spells it out for you. Skyward Sword is loathed particularly because it just actually spells it out for you every time Fi comes out and tells you there's a 100% chance this is what the developers wanted you to do in this scenario. Wind Waker's dungeons are arguably even easier, but people complain about them less because it's not spelled out so blatantly.
