IMHO the point of the EXP share is to allow the user to have a rotating team of more than 6 mons and to help the pokèmon that are left behind in this rotation

Retard I meant you’re lying about being overleveled. If you actually built up a team of 6 over the course of the game and fought all the trainers and left the exp share on then you’d be overleveled

I don't know about SM but in USUM I'm playing without exp share, my team is around 17-18 and they're matching the levels of the trainer's just before I went to the ranch. I also have a team of 6.
