So what do you think Gen 9's battle gimmick will be? Will it be more digivolutions like Megas and Gigantamax? Or will it be special attacks like Z-Moves? How quickly will the Gen 9 gimmick be abandoned?

That's not a bad speculation when the games were called Sword and Shield. And in the end it was partly right since that is the box legendaries gimmick. I don't think anybody would have believed that the Galar gimmick was going to be inflation.

Depending in how it's handled, I wouldn't hate this.
