I'm actually playing through it now as well with the penumbra moon hack
my issues with it aren't the cutscenes themselves, I was fine with them in the originals
my biggest issue by far is the changes they made to the story like removing lillie's scene in exeggutor island or making necrozma the villain instead of lusamine and thereby completely removing her motivations
not to mention losing mother beast and its music
