Remakes of games always kill the soul of the originals. While HGSS still does this, it replaces the soul of the originals with its own soul. No other poke-remake does this.

Wow. BDSP are literally the worse remakes yet, even worse than ORAS (which at least had the most recent Dex roster) and LGPE (which at least had considerable graphical changes to justify its existence) and people are claiming it's better than HGSS, the BEST remakes? A shitty cashgrab that was outsourced to a literal who company so they could focus on PLA is better than the remake that they put the most effort into? Are they really that impressed with the Grand Underground and some ROMhack tier Battle Tower matches with sets copy-pasted from Smogon? LOL

BDSP's Grand Underground is better than HGSS's Safari Zone. In fact, the Grand Underground is one of the best features in a pokemon game next to the PSS, Hard Mode, PWT, and GTS. A modern pokemon game with all those features would easily be the top game in the franchise.

Pokemon Gold and Silver are the only Pokemon games to get 90/100 based on critics reviews. If HGSS didn't change much, they were objectively right in doing so.

Alright, well a lot of people, myself included, seemed to have that problem. I feel like some of their choices were made to fix that, but the actual fix would have been to block off Mahogany for a while and they just didn't want to do that, so they made Sprout Tower non-optional and also put an extra route for the Safari Zone. Not the best fix, but they attempted something at least. Is there another problem I'm forgetting, or is that it?

I guess it depends, do prefer dealing with RNG or waiting to avoid it? Technically, for example, Pokemon in the Wild Area that only show up in certain weather probably take less time on a pure statistical level, but unless Game Freak programmed it smartly with some sort of weather seed or some way of mitigating the RNG if you got a particularly bad streak, it could take even longer than the HGSS Safari Zone times to get what you want.
