>>48967390It's extremely vague. Literally all dex entries point to it's environment (living in volcanic caves) or features about its biology. Despite getting anime appearances, it is such a minor footnote in terms of any lore it gets.
The only thing that's mentioned about it is that were it to lose something called the "Magma Stone," it would go on an uncontrollable rampage, triggering the volcano to blow and destroy everything around it.
It just feels like an entire afterthought, this pokemon, especially compared to the likes of darkrai/cresselia, or hell, even a mythical like shaymin.
On top of it all, it feels like a rather mediocre pokemon, sure it has a base stat total of 600, but it's really just a slow bulky steel/fire type that will annihilate you with special attacks, assuming it doesn't die to an earthquake.
