I kinda wished spinds got the new evo instead. Ursaring feels more complete and I don't want a rhyperior situation in which the new evo is kinda clunky as the 2nd stage was clearly designed to be the end

Normal/Ground is great.
Only Diggersby has this typing and being the early game rodent it has terrible stats despite Huge Power.
This Pokémon willl have Ursaring level stats. I expect a small jump like Rhydon to Rhyperior.

The best thing is that it's not a "hisuian evo" where the previous form is a regional form. It's a straight up evo like Gen 4. That's hype as fuck.

I'm still doubtful of it actually being Ursaring, like I know they totally could do it but we've already seen regular, even enraged Ursaring in trailers and it's an already pretty "evolved" Pokemon

You could argue the same for Mr. Mime but its stats were still low enough to warrant it, and I can't really imagine an Ursaring evo with like, 550 BST or something

well, yes, but 485 to 535 is very reasonable imo

550 is basically the soft limit of non-legendsry non-pseudo pokemon before they give it some nerf like slaking. I guess it can have small boost or stat reductions in certain stats. Still kinda odd

It's funny, I thought we'd get a game instead of Sinnoh getting 2 but we're getting buffs like crazy. It feels like they wanted to make a Johto game but went double Sinnoh instead. When we do get another game, I hope they finish buffing some of our weaker mons like Sunflora and Girafarig.
