>>49002094>doubt they will go up much in the long haul. they've already released over a million UPCsThe price of a sealed product is dictated by the price of the most expensive item it (potentially) contains within. It's far too early to tell, but whatever the price of a PSA10 Metal Charizard is in 10 year's time, the price of a UPC will be a large fraction of that. Maybe 25%. Not to mention the other items and potential items within.
The metal cards are notoriously difficult to grade, many of them arrive at your door already damaged, and current psa10 pop is less than 5. I think it's like 1 or 2.
People will also know right away if the metal card is flawless or not because of how easy it is to see scratches and dings on metal. So you can't sell a "NEAR MINT PSA10????" card on ebay because the flaws are too obvious.
As such, these will be very rare to come across. Eventually, the only way to have your chance at pulling a potential 10 is to purchase a sealed box and roll the dice yourself.
The average joe that was only able to get their hands one 1 upc, opened it. The only people keeping them sealed are the very very very few that were lucky enough to get more than 1, or scalpers/botters. These items are being opened at a rate far higher than other usually sealed products like etbs because people want the metal cards and the experience of opening the package.
And outside of America, these things are scarce.
