>>48978589To add to that, he resists the Electric gym too so he handles the first 5 gyms well, but he's weak to the last 3 not 2 (Fairy, Psychic, Ice). However you could go Eviolite Quilladin for a while until you get past the Fairy gym at least (Quilladin's already got a decent attack power and nice defense with a wide variety of TM's at that point including Poison Jab for the fairies, plus Seed Bomb to tie it over).
He unfortunately does have a bunch of weaknesses in the E4 but the rest of your team can handle those, plus he does have a huge amount of high power coverage from TMs (I counted at least Grass, Fighting, Dragon, Ground, Ghost, Poison and Rock).
