Bugsy could have had any combination of Heracross, Scizor, Ariados and Ledian and he would have made a great second gym leader challenge.
Whitney having an Ursaring or Granbull to round out her team would have been cool.
There's no good reason why Morty doesn't have a Misdreavus.
Chuck having a Heracross and Hitmontop would have made a lot more sense than a Machoke.
At least Jasmine, Pryce and Claire pick up the ball a little.
The Johto Champion (shouldn't have been Lance) also should have used a Tyranitar, and maybe a Houndoom, Scizor, and/or Skarmory too, would have been challenging and a good representation of what Johto has to offer.
