Wobbuffet was Uber. Wynaut was never Uber. Not sure why they thought a gimmick mon like Wobbuffet needed a pre-evolution in the next generation.

Wynaut was Uber in both gens 3 and 4 by default, as Shadow Tag was its only ability, so they couldn't ban Shadow Tag without Wunaut. Gen 5 gave Naut and Wobb Telepathy as a HA so they could just ban Shadow Tag insteadm.
