>>49009048Lucifer, satan, the devil, beelzebub, etc. Are referring to the same being. The concept of them being different seperate entities is relatively recent. I believe the first time anyone got specific about the heirarchies of hell or specific demons with different attributes was the middle ages. Satan is just the Hebrew word for opposer or accuser so when jesus says he was tempted by Satan or "get the behind me satan" it could be interpreted as him resisting the temptation of people with different views trying to break him down and change his mind, to question his philosophy and faith.
