It's overated not the worst but definelty has the worst early game of any reigon but I havent played past gen 6.
Tomorrow I'm going to home to UNOVA

I like Unova but BW1 has by far the worst early game. You're stuck with shitmons like patrat, purrloin and pidove until you get to pinwheel forest

Wellspring Cave has Drilbur for dust cloud spawns as well as Roggenrola. Route 3 has Blitzle if you're ok with that.
Unova is still very weak in the early game but the moment you get past the daycare you start getting the good early shit.

No way, the generic sinnoh team exists because the opening of Sinnoh has so many bromons like Starly, Budew, and Shinx.
BW1 has the worst opening by far. Not a big fan of Johto's either, game picks up after the first gym.

That's partially the reason, but the main reason it exists because the DP regional dex sucks, e.g. there are very few other options in DP for a electric or grass type apart from shitmons like Pachirisu and Cherrim. The generic Sinnoh team meme doesn't apply to Platinum.
