ITT changes you liked and disliked about pokemon remakes. I'm curious about what people think about specific changes
>Frlg
Changes I liked
>The VS seeker debuted here and it's great
>The sevii islands in general
>Meowth no longer version exclusive
Changes I disliked
>The stupid way they handled evolution blocking
>Tilesets are somehow blander than in gen 1 in a lot of areas (Not to mention cycling road is still a land bridge)
>The sevii islands not being post game exclusive
>Awesome pokemon like starmie and slowpoke ARE version exclusive
>Hgss
Changes I liked
>Following pokemon
>Pokeathelon
>(Most of) the graphical changes
>Literally everything they did with kanto, god it's so beautiful (picrel)
>Route 47 and 48 and the safari zone (Fuck you I liked it) are nice additions that make a few post game only pokemon not post game only.
>The sheer amount of personality they gave all 16 gym leaders with stuff like being able to see them interacting with the world and being able to call them, and even getting rare trades from some of them
>A lot of the finer things like the legendary dogs being trackable right away, being able to fly to the pokemon league from anywhere, etc
Changes I didn't like
>Pretty much every instance of forcing the player to do something that was optional in the originals
>Rematches not being available till after the radio tower
>Can't decorate room :( also I like the original design of the players house better in general
>Oras
Changes I liked
>The graphics can be extremely pretty in a lot of areas
>Mirage islands are great, and soaring is a decent idea
>Pokenav is great
Changes I didn't like
>The immense amounts of new cutscenes and the way they utterly shoehorn megas into the plot
>Mallville and le overbearing amount of loading screens
>The way they butchered route 113
>Free latias/latios? With a fucking megastone? Shoehorned right where the (originally) most fun stretch of gameplay was? Fuck that
>Everything about the delta episode
