It's only the box legends that are really OP along with outliers like Mewtwo and Lando-T. Most others range from good to poor, with most being decent at best. Arcticuno, Moltres, Lake Trio, Johto Dogs are all outclassed by Pokemon people commonly use in normal playthroughs

Mythical = Pokemon with a BST of 600, but are eventmons like Manaphy, Mew, Celebi and victini
Legends = Pokemon that typically come in trios, BST of 580-600. Like the Genies, Golems, and birds.
Pseudos = Pokemon with a BST of 600, extremely powerful (typically endgame) and have a 3 stage evolution.

Using an Azelf is not all that different from using the top BST dragons like Garchomp and Salamence.
It's one of those things where, I'd happily tolerate one or two in a team. When you've got a team that contains multiple Latios/Azelf tier pokemon, then also Dragons with high BSTs, you are clearly a try-hard brainlet.

You were mostly right, but legendaries doesn't just mean birds and golems. Legendaries is a blanket term which covers any pokemon who would be considered to have legendary status or equivalent in lore. So while that does include birds and golems, it also includes the Ubers too.

I could cry brehs. I always have my switch in stand by when I don't use it. I booted it up today to continue playing SP and it said my cartridge wasn't in the switch, it is, and it turned off. I've lost 6 hours of gameplay and I'm so annoyed. I also turned off autosave as I know it can soft lock you due to shitty bugs.

It depends entirely on the build you’re going for. You plan the move set around the stats. If it’s going to have buffs/healing then hp could be useful. If you want it to sweep and are prepared to give it a choice item, speed could be worthwhile.
If you’re just playing offline for fun, it’s a waste of time planning EVs, the game is easy enough to win with a mixed bag.

Trading is dead and duping killed it. Before the patch, trading was lively because people were collecting stuff to dupe, now that almost everyone has x999 of everything they'd ever need, and x999 of things they won't ever touch, item trading market is dead, because what's the point of trading one item you have infinite of, for another item that you have an infinite of?

The last thing to trade would be Pokemon, but Pokemon trading is only a thing for dex entries, because all the Pokemon worth breeding for a competitive version can be caught, bred for IV's, and EV trained in less than an hour. Thanks in partly to duping.

The problem is, it doesn't matter how easily you can dupe shit if no one has a single sample of a rare item. Everyone spent more time duping items literally everyone else already had instead of grinding for the rare items, so now everyone is offering the exact same things almost no one needs because they already duped x999 of them as well (see caps, apriballs, ability items, etc). Since mostly everyone has the same items there's little incentive for people to start trades. Whereas no one bothered to grind for rare mints, so now everyone's asking for the same few specific items while also offering the same old items that now hold very little value.

And that's exactly why duping kills trading. When giving someone 1 is the same as giving them 999, the need to trade quickly goes away. Once people get their mints, BDSP trading will be completely dead outside of people needing hard to find mons for dex completion.

Scizor. You cannot go wrong with Scizor, it’s versatility, bulk and attack power are the reason why it’s number one in BDSP OU rankings. It also takes care of other Clefables which get pesky real fast, also unaware is much better for d dancers

Add a set up sweeper or two. Garchomp, Salamence, Dragonite. Pick one. I run Salamance the most but Sub+SD Garchomp punishes bad switch ins.

The last two slots are completely optional, I recommend adding a defogger or put defog on the Scizor set I gave you.

This is what I really dislike about competitive and smogon.
People will just look at their lists and movesets and make carbon copies.
For me, there's no point in doing that. You might as well just run simulations online with your proposed team and enjoy watching how well it does or doesn't do.
If you haven't come up with ideas by yourself, what's the point? I just wouldn't find it particularly enjoyable or rewarding doing that.
It was always super obvious in Swsh when someone was just regurgitating a smogon team, or when someone had built an outside the box team using their own inspriation.

Ok let’s be real. Gamefreak themselves build Pokémon around using them for one or two gimmicks. Smogon try hards only connect the dots. Playing them in any other way that deviates too far from their intended play style will result in you losing. You may have a once off but it’s a fluke. The problem is Gamefreak and the way they distribute stats and build pokemon.

It would help if there were more robust rule sets. SwSh having restricted mons was a start, but there should have been ranked modes where >600BST were outright banned.
I like the idea of a BST allowance, where you get, say, 2,400 BST across your team and have to decide how to distribute it.
In my experience though, you really didn't need to use smogon sets to reach master class in ranked Swsh. Because so many people were so heavily dependant on smogon sets and using their Zacians, as soon as you picked something alien to those sets, you threw them for a loop and they didn't know how to win, because they couldn't just use the exact same moves in the exact same sequence like they did for all their games prior.
I agree that GF doesn't put enough thought into the meta. There shouldn't be so many worthless mons, and so many mons that are too good not to take.

Good game. I take the series 2-1. Wild ride and every Pokémon played a key role. I did take screenshots, I’ll post on the other thread. 1st battle was probably the best singles match I’ve ever had and I mean it.
