Soaring was soulful as fuck. Fucking loved soaring, I enjoyed just spending time looking at Hoenn from above. The more time goes on the more I feel bad about giving ORAS so much shit. It wasn't as good as it could have been, but it was definitely pretty good.

It was pretty cool but they could have done a lot more with it. Maybe make more/more varied wild flocks of flying pokemon or more incentive to unlock and discover the mirage islands, not the legendary ones mind you, the ones that just have one or two shitmons and an item. Could have been amazing. And they should have fucking added the mew island from emerald.

As someone whose favorite Pokémon is and always will be Latias, playing Alpha Sapphire and flying with her around Hoenn gave me a serene happiness I haven't felt since. I wouldn't even need a place to go, I'd often fly around on her back just to bond with her, thousands of feet in the air away from the rest of the world, just me and her. I should really play Alpha Sapphire again.
