So they've removed natures
Removed abilities
Removed single turn battles
Since they decided to gut the game why didnt they just move over to full on 3rd person action?

Plus sizes are probably going to affect stat distribution

The point is why did they go half way
They weren't brave enough to just make ni no kuni which is all they ever had to do

Now dokeV, yokai watch, and ni no kuni are all dynamic 3rd person monster collecting action games and pokemon is still durr 4 moves

I think this gameplay looks better than ni no kuni's. I think there is still a lot more richness in turn based rpgs.

Legends is being built basically from the ground up, Natures and Abilities weren't added untill Gen 3 so I legends becomes a success they'll probably build upon the series with it's own abilities, natures, and other

Like old battles, except the turn order went from rounds to priority. So you don't execute turns in alternating sequence, you roll on a table using a formula with your Speed as a modifier, meaning you can end up with consecutive turns but also slower Pokemon can act before you sometimes.

YES, you're right they totally DID update the battle system to be more dynamic, in this way and more! It's awesome!
