Gen i is by far the worst. Everything after was a huge improvement. Reasons:
- pokemon had retarded nonsense movepools: why can a rock rhino learn surf?
- no legendary story, just beating up gangsters
- bad graphics
- tons of glitches
- all the starters are fat
- too difficult for kids, too easy for adults
- slow battles
- ugly, uninspired roster of Pokemon
Every new gen has improved over this and I'm glad I didn't start the series with this shitshow.
