Why did GF make Froslass's body underneath purple instead of black like Glalie and Snorunt?
Was it to avoid another Jynx situation? If so, then they should've at least rectconned Snorunt and Glalie's colors to make the line more consistent

I think it's just a case of using purple for Froslass because Froslass is the girl one and they have to make it appear more feminine, but it honestly does look pretty good in black and I can't imagine it causing the same controversy as Jynx (the real problem with Jynx was the lips + hair in conjunction with the skin and not just the skin itself).

Shellder, Cloyster, Tangela, and Gastly were never meant to be black spheres. For the former three, it was supposed to be darkness shrouding their true appearance, with only their eyes/mouth visible. Gastly was just supposed to be a cloud of gas with eyes and a mouth. But then Pokemon became a franchise, so they were retconned to really be black spheres.
