Walk with the d-pad one step at a time like a mouthbreathing retard who’s too scared to fucking move properly in a children’s videogame
There is legitimately a weird bug where tapping once on the d-pad moves you more than one space. It happens on the bike in high gear, and it happens when facing a ledge.
You fix it by:
Holding B and doing the same retarded tapping
Just keep fucking moving in one fluid motion and don’t stop/tap like a retard
Use the analog stick
