>>49047346It helps that Roxanne is so easy for all starters so you don't really need anyone else yet, and even if you do her team has such low special defense that Kirlia can handle it for you.
Then, after that, the next gym is weak to psychic (and fairy if you're in ORAS), so it's pretty useful there too. So it's an early game catch that is useful as soon as you catch it and then still pretty strong late game in its 3rd evo too. Gardevoir is a damn good pokemon, don't let the coomers ruin it for you.
