I got Alpha Sapphire sealed just a few months ago for £35, that's about $42 american dollars. The game might be rarer where you are though. I honestly enjoyed this one more than I expected, I think a lot of us would be singing its praises if it had the battle frontier honestly.
If you can find it, there's still limited edition sealed copies of SM/USUM, I got one for just £40. I assume the games didn't sell well.

Why would you buy sealed games if not for selling them later? There's no point otherwise. You can find mint condition open copies since the games aren't that old and plastic doesn't deteriorate like cardboard.

Did you absolutely have to get it sealed? I can understand doing so as I did the same for P3 Fes, but in my case it was a disc. Getting a 3DS game factory sealed instead of pre-owned feels a bit superfluous since there's little (if any) risk of the cart being damaged not to mention 3DS games shouldn't be old enough to be ridiculously expensive unless it was a game with a rather scarce print.

The World editions are NTSC-U. The only difference with them and the standard NTSC-U releases are the fact that the packaging has the little circle at the bottom on the 3DS banner, and a green tab on the back of the packaging behind the ESRB rating. It's the exact same ROM on the cartridge, and the sticker on the cartridge is identical to the normal US sticker as well. The only reason not to buy them (over the original US release) is collector autism about the packaging. I'd argue the Pokemon World Edition games are still better than the fucking Quebec releases with the big ass FRENCH THIS GAME PLAYS IN FRENCH, FRENCH GET YOUR POUTINE AT THE FOOD COURTE logo that they stick on games released in Quebec.
