The bike is replaced with Tauros Ride and might be considered a.slight downgrade because now you have to press b to speed up but it also offers extra use in breaking rocks to make up for it. Fishing though, is an upgrade in every way. The fishing spots in SM improve on the traditional fishing before because they make fishing a pokemon much easier. You get increased rates during bubbling water, and can event get rare items like the Prism scale, Kings Rock and Pearls through it. It in fact gives you even more of a reason to want to fish.
