imagine an official pokemon battle simulator constantly updated with high quality animations and all types of battles, including triple and rotation battles (and a sky ruleset for all modes).
The only "problem" for TPCi would be that the game would act as a pokemon bank/home but there could be some bullshit/asshole way of only pulling pokemon from save games and/or home without giving the game a pokemon storage system.

If more people decided to join the modding scene that would be great. Some people are trying to add more Pokemon. For now, I am importing my Pokemon from BDSP to PBR and doing minor mods such as anime cries.

This would be great and I hope GF goes that route. Instead of yearly mainline games just for competitive they could have 1 big online battle sim. I doubt theyd ever do that though sadly because theres not nearly as much money in it, the only way they could monetize it is with skins and even then thats not as much money as yearly $60 games selling 15m each

Skins could theoretically make more. Especially if you consider that the majority of pokémon profits come from merchandising. Especially if they still released the story campaigns and methods of getting new mons as the base games whilst keeping the battle service up (without a subscription) with skins making huge profit.

This game gave us the most in-depth character customization yet, only thing it lacked was outfits modeled to fit multiple body types, but unlike every game in main series Battle Revolution at least gave us different body types instead of every player using the same 2 base models with a different coat of paint.

Why? Because they're on the board for off-site bogeyman of the season? At least in this case they're making something and sharing info so when they inevitably give up someone else will be able to pick up where they left off.

I think PBR was better in the time it came out. It was really for the purposes of bringing your 2D Pokemon to the big screen and watching replays of people's battles with a more cinematic value that was similar to the anime. I do not think as many people want that anymore. Showdown is a nice quick battle simulator to play on the browser and test teams. I think they are for different people.

Graphics I don't care about because Pokémon's artstyle is established enough that any "improvements" would most likely cause a clash with the artstyle.
Animations however are important. I want to SEE the difference between not only Pokémon but moves. I want to see a difference between Vine Whip and Power Whip. I want to see my Pokémon moving in a more natural way than idle pose 1 on loop.

PBR even had animations of the mons reacting to being hit, instead of just disappearing when they faint. Modern Pokémon can do so much better than pic related.
