My vote goes for Unova. It takes the original idea and put it into a new context with its own identity. Models show the artist's expertise too. Kanto tend to be a little too bland in those areas, for my taste at least. Literally every Unova design is average at least. Can't say the same about Kanto: Hypno, Dugtrio, Golduck, Voltorb... You get the idea. In Unova even the ice cream Pokemon is full of personality.
