Pokemon should only get STAB if the move used matches their primary type. This way dualtypes aren't inherently better, as the second type only affects defensive type matchups.

just nerf stab to be less busted, because that kinda fucks over flying types/earlier ice types/etc. plus it'd make the single player less braindead.

It doesn't need to be removed completely, maybe have the second type have a smaller STAB. Or let Mono Types have a slightly stronger STAB.
