Yeah I know, I was usually doing backups when I was implementing something major that could mess with the script. I didn't see the point in constantly making backups when I wasn't doing anything that could change the internal data. I didn't think that just playing the game and closing it could ruin everything.
Lesson learned.

Game Freak lost almost all of Red/Green's code in a computer fuck up in '94/'95 and recovered everything they needed to.
Op is a fat-handed spastic that not only lost his shit, they're too tech-illiterate to recover the lost work. Game Freak make regular back-ups as they learned a lesson, I'd have thought zoomie computer-savvy programmers wouldn't need to learn such a lesson to make regular back-ups, but it turns out you can lead a zoomie to a computer but can't make him think when using it.
