I play Pokémon because it helps me cope with my pathetic existence. It acts as escapism. It briefly takes me to a world where there is no evil or suffering. It also brings back memories from when I was a kid and helps me relive those times of mystery and adventure. If I could choose to wipe my memory every time I finish a Pokémon game, I would, just so I could experience that magical feeling of watching the world unravel in front of you as you discover cool monsters to befriend and fight.
