There is one group of idiots who support soulless, lazy, WiiWare from 2007 style "remakes" and the other who support a promising and exciting direction for the franchise with Action-RPG elements

Yea that’s definitely what I’ve noticed too. People who unironically like BDSP confound me to no end. Legends isn’t exactly GOOD, and I probably won’t be buying it, but it’s representative of a good direction for the games. I get hating it for being unpolished and likely lacking meaningful content but there’s a SIZEABLE chunk of people who hate legends and love BDSP. It’s disgusting, it’s like they WANT the series to stagnate with its stale ass gameboy mechanics. Its like when SwSh came out and you real ass people hating it for having overworld encounters. Let that sink in. They want the games to just continue on forever having random encounters

You're retarded if you think anything but open zone, free camera region design and the new pokémon added to the canon will be taken forward from Legends, especially the mechanics of it, which were keyed to support single-player gameplay.
Undoubtedly the next new Generation will revert to type and re-implement the traditional core gameplay, just as the stated "basis for the next 20 years of Pokémon" LGPE got ignored except for overworld spawn pokémon being brought forward to Gen VIII. It's still a kiddyshit IP, that's why they released a kiddyshit game at Christmas and deliberately didn't schedule Legends for that role.

When a fangame for RS2007 was still going on before Jagex capitalized on it, they held a poll on trying to make the game less grindy by making the XP progression between 1x, 1.5x, 2x, 3x, 4x
The majority chose 1x , they were so ingrained in fucking grinding that they couldn't fathom even a +50% xp change when people have been playing at 10x and 50x the XP gain in private servers since day 1. "But oh nooo it's meant to recapture the original game" fucking mental retards. There should be laws against these people.
The FBI, CIA, NSA should gather info on these people, look through who they are, what they do and murder them.
