This is why I was and still am against cloud storage for this type of game. They could've easily allowed you to store your Pokémon on your 3DS/Switch's internal storage, but nope, gotta squeeze even more money out of people.

17 years? Longer than that. Both Stadium games had full storage systems for both Pokemon and items, and you could even transfer between games and trade if you had 2 controllers.
I miss doing that kind of shit, trading without needing to own two handhelds.
