This is fucking stupid. The games industry is one of constant improvement and innovation. Asking fans not to have expectations or increased expectations from the previous entry is like asking a Kitten not to become a Cat or a patron not to expect a Medium-Rare Steak to be cooked. If they're unwilling or incapable of improving they should just hand the series over to someone else, though, considering PLA is the most ambitious game to come of nu-Game Freak and seems to have minimal Masuda involvement (as well as his work on BDSP, even in the musical department which is usually something he still manages to deliver on), I'm inclined to believe Masuda is the reason for the series' stagnation.
