Part of me things that Johto is the only region that deserves a Battle Frontier since Crystal invented the Battle Tower in the first place.
Part of me thinks that its vindication for Johto starters not getting Megas.
But honestly, no one "wins" here. Pokemon has been on a downward spiral. Megas being given to pseudos but Pokemon that needed them got nothing, Dexit flat-out saying that 29% of older Pokemon don't need to exist, SwSh being terrible even when ignoring Dexit, Power Creep, Zard favoritism being so extreme at this point it can't even be parodied.
Don't cry for Pokemon, its already dead.
