I believe catching by debilitating and using pokeballs is a form of abuse and it should be punishable. There should be multiple ways to tame Pokemon.
I play Pokemon Go and I just breed eggs by walking. I think of myself as a Pokemon breeder. Fuck pokeballs.

i never found weakening the pokemon before catching it to make any sense at all, if youre capturing an animal for any personal benefit the last thing you would want to do is maim it in the slightest, except in situations like when oak was a kid and couldn't just chuck those fuckers

I actually like the introduction of the ability to throw the Pokeball, but I don't like LGPE completely changing the capturing mechanic to it. I think it would be better if the main games let you hold down the Pokeball button to enter the Pokemon Go-style throwing screen and gave you a slightly higher capture rate for a great/excellent throw.
