The VCG competitive game is really good right now. They screwed up the connection they got right in Gen VI.

GF are very old school when it comes to in-game secrets and features. Some things are literally meant to be found through guides and stuff. Like, only a couple of years ago I found out about the whole shiny leaf thing in HGSS. Blew my fucking mind. It's one of the few things they still do right.

Yeah, like spewing out slow Rock-type Pokémon with one double-weakness at the minimum and can get OHKO by neutral Special moves because that ALWAYS worked.

Guidebook. Pretty sure you couldn't do the regi puzzle in emerald unless you had a guidebook even if you could read braille because the first step was some really specific thing like going to a sea cave with relicanth as your last pokemon in party and then using dig with the first pokemon in your party. Something along those lines.
